The region of Valdres,Norway is where this style originates.The rosemaling was based on late Rococo and Neoclassical styles well into the 1800's. Peder Aadness(1739-1825) brought a transition from old to new.It was from studying his painting that inspired my painting of most Valdres designs and Baroque flower designs.
